QL Resources has grown year on year since its listing on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in the year 2000. Prudent management practices coupled with domestic and regional expansion have brought market recognition from a range of media and financial analysts culminating in The Edge Billion Ringgit Club 2011 Company of the Year award.
The Group’s push into biomass technology development – which has opened up business opportunities around renewable energy generation and palm biomass pelletisation – has led to a Green Leadership award from AREA (Asia Responsible Enrepreneurship Awards), given in 2012.
Top management remains ever grateful for the awards given to QL as the Group’s regional expansion continues apace.
In May 2015, QL Resources won the AEC Priority Integration Sector – Fisheries Award at the 6th ASEAN Business Awards Malaysia
In December 2012, Dr Chia Song Kun was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur award 2012 for Malaysia
In November 2012, Dr Chia was short listed for a CNBC Asia Business Leaders Award
In July 2011, QL won the prestigious The Edge Billion Ringgit Club Company of the Year award
In July 2010, QL was recognised as one of The Edge Billion Ringgit Club Top Ten Companies of the Year
In May 2012, under AREA (Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards) 2012 Southeast Asia, QL was awarded the Green Leadership Award

In KPMG/The Edge Shareholder Value Awards under the Agriculture & Fisheries Sector, QL was ranked 1st, 6th, 4th, 2nd, 2nd & 4th respectively in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007
In December 2009, QL was ranked 10th by RHB research in their ‘top of the decade’ review of companies in terms of share price appreciation over 10 years
In March 2010, QL was selected by Phillip Capital Management as one of the 9 prosperity stocks in Bursa Malaysia. These are the stocks that recorded continuous growth in the pre-profit for the past 10 years
In the past 4 years, QL has been included in Malaysian Business Magazine Top 100 companies based on turnover, while also being continuously ranked inside the Top 20 under ROE (Return on Equity) category.
